excellente Hello again folks, we're back again for another update, and it's quite a goodie this week. I spent the first few days on holiday, which was delightful, then back to work Thursday-Sunday to catch up on the work I missed (on the plus side I just realised that tomorrow's a public holiday so yay me?). There was also some drama involving withdrawing from a uni course that I may or may not discuss later.
on the writing front though, it was an utter success!

Bringing us to a weekly total of 3171, and a 16-day writing streak
I managed to write every day this week! Admittedly on Friday it was only 75 words, but I managed it! I also touched every active project once (and yeah, okay I spent six days working on The Teen Wolf Thing We Will Discuss In A Moment, and then hastily spewed some words out for the other three tonight, but it counts)
What's really exciting though is that I finished The Teen Wolf Fic (henceforth: Derek Hale Deserves Nice Things). This is a piece I started five whole ass years ago as a birthday present for my best friend. It didn't get finished in time and then things happened and it languished until the very end of 2019 when I found it during a Google Drive Deep Dive and realised:
a) it's actually quite good
b) there's not that much left to do on it
c) if I get stuck in I can finish it in time for her birthday 2020
So I did, and last night I finished that sucker. Credit where credit's due, 2015!Emmett did most of the work, but friends, I believe this is the first thing I've finished in (hang on lemme check) yep, 2012. That is too, too long. It needs a little polishing, and posting (probably on AO3 but I'll at the very least link to it here if anyone is interested).
My next dilemma is that my friend's birthday is in early February. Do I count this as my complete/posted work for January, and finish something else in February, or do I try and smash out something for January and post this in Feb? At this stage I think I'll have a crack and busting something out (if I can find something small enough), and if not, well I've got this in reserve
