Well, this week was a success! I passed the 20k mark this week, which I feel pretty good about. True, I've not even reached half of the words I achieved in November, but I've been writing consistently for over twice as long and that feels pretty good.
Monday 9 March - Sunday 15 March 2020
I've also had quite a few chances to just think this week. Been doing quite a bit of driving (often quiet) which gives my brain time to wander and plot things out and settle into stories without the need to be doing something else or listening to something else (driving is quite meditative for me like that - not in the sense of getting relaxed or sleepy or anything, don't worry).
Have a bit more of that coming up on the rest of the trip which is great, but need to have a think about how to get that into practice once I'm home. Might try and fit in more walks - good for thinking, good for mental health. Plus, as an extravert who works from home and who is immunocompromised and will probably need to be practicing social distancing in the near future, going out for walks will probably help with the cabin fever
(In case anyone was freaking out, going out for walks is totally okay and in line with social distancing. You're even allowed to do that if you've been required to self-isolate. Covid-19 is primarily spread through close contact with others, so as long as you're keeping distance between you and other people, and not wandering into a damn cafe or coughing over people, that's totally okay!)
